WBCS exam is conducted in three phases, Preliminary exam, Mains and Personal interview. WBCS Prelims syllabus comprises eight subjects. In the preliminary exam one has to solve 200 MCQs in 2.5 hours. The qualified candidates have to face a Mains exam followed by a personal interview. The final selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Mains and Personal interview.
