Before heading towards WBCS preparation, you need to know about certain key things that often hold you back from achieving success. And once you figure them out, no one can stop you from being successful. Therefore, you should refrain yourself from the following conditions.

WBCS exam is conducted in three phases, Preliminary exam, Mains and Personal interview. WBCS Prelims syllabus comprises eight subjects. In the preliminary exam one has to solve 200 MCQs in 2.5 hours. The qualified candidates have to face a Mains exam followed by a personal interview. The final selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Mains and Personal interview.

In WBCS Mains candidates have to appear in eight different subject papers (six for Group C and D).
