These Terms & Conditions ('Terms') are a legal agreement between you and Institute of Academic Excellence, doing business as ICE Academy ('ICE Academy', 'we', 'us' or 'our'), governing your use of our website at https://iceacademy.in and your enrolment in any course we offer, whether taken online or at one of our Kolkata centres. By using the website or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or enrol.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Cookie Policy, which apply alongside these Terms.
1. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCURATE INFORMATION
Our courses are open to students preparing for WBCS, WBPSC, SSC, Railway, Banking, TET and other Government job examinations, and to anyone who wants to enrol in them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the enrolment on your behalf; by doing so, they accept these Terms and consent, on your behalf, to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. When you register or enrol, you must give us accurate, current and complete information (name, contact details, exam category and so on) and keep it up to date, since we use it to confirm your enrolment, issue receipts and get in touch with you about your batch.
2. ENROLMENT AND CONFIRMATION
A seat in a course is provisional until payment for it is successfully processed. Enrolment is confirmed as soon as payment succeeds and you reach the payment confirmation page showing your payment reference; Razorpay separately emails or texts you its own receipt for the transaction, and our team then contacts you with your batch details, as described in DELIVERY OF COURSES AND STUDY MATERIAL below. Course availability, intake numbers and batch cut-offs are not guaranteed until enrolment is confirmed. Enrolment is for a named individual and is not transferable to another person, exam category or, except where we agree to a batch transfer under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, another batch or course.
3. DELIVERY OF COURSES AND STUDY MATERIAL
How we get you started depends on the mode you enrol in:
- Online courses. After enrolment is confirmed, our team contacts you by phone, email or SMS with your batch details and how to access live and recorded classes and the test series.
- Offline (classroom) courses. Our team contacts you with your batch, timings and centre details; you attend classes at the relevant ICE Academy centre.
- Study material. Where a course includes printed study material, it is either handed to you at the centre or dispatched by courier to an address you give us within India; where it is provided as a PDF, it is shared electronically. If material you were promised does not reach you, contact us using the details in HOW TO CONTACT US below and we will arrange it.
4. COURSE ACCESS, LOGINS AND CONTENT
Access to online classes, recorded lectures, study material and test series is for your personal, non-commercial use only, for the duration of the course shown on its course page (plus any grace period we may allow), after which it may end. You may not share access to any platform or account we give you with anyone else, and you may not record, download, copy, screenshot, redistribute, publish or resell any class, recording or study material, in whole or in part, except where a feature is explicitly provided for personal offline study (for example, a downloadable PDF). Where a course page describes doubt-clearing or mentoring support as continuing until you succeed, that support is for clearing doubts on the syllabus and is likewise subject to these Terms; it does not extend your access to classes, recordings or the test series beyond the period above. All course content, including video lectures, notes, question banks and test series, is described further under INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY below. We may suspend or terminate access, without refund, for an account we reasonably believe is being shared or misused.
5. CHANGES TO SCHEDULES, FACULTY AND SYLLABUS
Class timings, batch schedules, faculty assignments and the order or pace in which syllabus topics are covered may change from what was advertised at the time you enrolled. We try to give reasonable notice of any change through the website, email, SMS or our messaging groups, but a schedule or faculty change on its own is not grounds for a refund unless it falls within our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. NO GUARANTEE OF SELECTION OR RESULTS
ICE Academy provides coaching, study material and test series to help you prepare for Government exams. We do not guarantee that you will clear any exam, be selected, or achieve any particular rank or score. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including the exam itself, the selecting authority's process, and your own preparation and performance.
7. ONLINE CLASSES, YOUR DEVICE AND CONDUCT
Online classes and recorded content require your own working device, internet connection and any software we specify; we are not responsible for a missed or disrupted class caused by a problem with your device, internet service or local power supply. In both online sessions and our classrooms, you are expected to behave respectfully towards faculty, staff and other students, and to follow the applicable code of conduct (for example, muting yourself when not speaking in an online class, or classroom attendance and discipline rules at our centres). We may remove a student from a class, a batch or the course altogether, without refund, for serious misconduct, including harassment, cheating, disruptive behaviour or sharing course content in breach of Section 4.
8. FEES AND PAYMENT
Course fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and, unless a course page states otherwise, are inclusive of applicable taxes. Payments are processed online through Razorpay using cards, UPI, net banking or wallets, initiated from the Enrol button on the relevant course page; the amount charged is computed by our server for that course. Your card, UPI or net-banking details are entered in Razorpay's checkout, not on our website, and ICE Academy never receives or stores your full card number or its security code. Razorpay sends us the payment confirmation we need to confirm your enrolment, as described in our Privacy Policy. Payments are subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy and security standards. If a payment is debited but your enrolment is not confirmed, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The website, our course content (video lectures, live class recordings, notes, question banks, test series), our name, logo and course materials are the property of ICE Academy or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of that content to you; enrolling in a course only gives you the personal, non-transferable right of use described in Section 4.
10. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The website and our Services are provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ICE Academy's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of a course is limited to the fees you actually paid for that course. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION
Refunds, cancellations and batch transfers are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which sets out when a refund is available and how to request one. That policy forms part of these Terms.
12. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the details of our Grievance Officer are given below. If you have a complaint or grievance about the website, a course or a payment, please write to the Grievance Officer with your name, contact details and a description of the issue.

We will acknowledge a grievance within 48 hours of receiving it and resolve it within one month of receipt, as required under applicable law.
13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Subject to your non-waivable rights as a consumer, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal.
14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in our courses, our payment provider or the law. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the website or a course after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms; for a material change, we will make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention.
